The Third Station

The weight of the wood

and the strain caused your knees

to buckle.

You stumbled in your footsteps

and fell.

Your whole body was exhausted and yet

you got up and continued to the place of the Skull.

This was a moment of weakness

when your body failed You.

But You did not stop.

We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
